Install Shotpilot

Download Shotpilot from your dashboard, then follow the instructions for your operating system.

Log in to download

Install with the setup wizard

  1. Download the Windows installer

Open your dashboard, find Windows under Downloads, and select Download.

  2. Run the installer

Open the downloaded .exe file. If Windows asks whether the installer may make changes to your device, confirm to continue.

  3. Follow the setup wizard

Review the destination folder and shortcuts, select Install, and wait for setup to finish.

  4. Launch Shotpilot

Select Finish, then open Shotpilot from the Start menu or its desktop shortcut.

Run the AppImage

An AppImage is portable: it does not use a traditional installer. Keep the file in a location of your choice, make it executable, and run it.

  1. Download the Linux AppImage

Open your dashboard, find Linux under Downloads, and select Download.

  2. Make the file executable

Open a terminal in the download folder and run:

    chmod +x Shotpilot*.AppImage

You can also right-click the file, open Properties, and enable the option to run it as a program. The wording varies by desktop environment.

  3. Launch Shotpilot

Double-click the AppImage, or run it from the same terminal:

    ./Shotpilot*.AppImage
  4. Keep it somewhere permanent

Move the AppImage to a folder such as ~/Applications. Do not delete it after launching: the AppImage is the application.

First launch

  1. Open Shotpilot

Launch the app using the shortcut on Windows or the AppImage on Linux.

  2. Sign in

Use the same account you use on the Shotpilot website.

  3. Connect your Android device

Enable USB debugging on the device, connect it by USB, and approve the debugging prompt if one appears.
